Center for Trauma Recovery

Welcome to the Center for Trauma Recovery

The Center for Trauma Recovery’s vision is to provide a comprehensive focus on the wellbeing of women, men and children whose lives have been affected by trauma.

There are many different traumatic experiences in life that can impact our emotional, physical or spiritual functioning. At the CTR we offer services to address all aspects of recovery, for example, assessment of the impact of trauma on the individual (child and adult) and/or the family. This includes helping to determine the best time to do this work, and the best modalities to approach it.

Meditation Garden 1We designed our office space to support the healing process with natural light, open and spacious rooms, and a comfortable, welcoming atmosphere. Our space also includes a movement studio for trauma-informed yoga, Nia, Feldenkrais for alleviating physical pain, a space for meditation and other mindfulness practices, and multiple treatment spaces to make it easier to find services at a time that works for you and/or your family, as well as conveniently moving from one service (for example individual therapy) to another (for example group or yoga).

Our services include evidence-based practices and interventions that we combine in innovative ways with other approaches to address the entire person – mind and body. We also have an extensive referral network for allopathic and naturopathic or alternative providers to work with you.

The CTR welcomes persons of all countries, backgrounds and other minority groups. We offer culturally-competent services that consider the context of your life and traumatic experiences. We look for strengths that come from our life’s context and explore how these can facilitate the recovery process. Most services are available in both English and Spanish.

When you first contact us, we will schedule an intake appointment and a tour of our space. This will provide a sense of all the options available to you, and together with your therapist, you will design the best combination for you according to where you are in your trauma recovery process.

We honor your interest in our services. Please contact us for more information or if you have any questions.
