Fabiana Wallis, Ph.D., was born to a bicultural family and grew up in Argentina. After moving to the U.S., she pursued a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at University of Massachusetts Boston and completed her clinical training at Harvard Medical School. Her passion has been working with minority women affected by psychological trauma and she is the co-author of a trauma curriculum in Spanish, Saber es Poder. In September 2009, she co-founded the Center for Trauma Recovery with Lucrecia Suarez, LCSW. She is currently the co-director of Conexiones and the Center for Trauma Recovery, and Affiliated Faculty at OHSU and Pacific University Psychology Department. Fabiana was elected Chair of the Oregon Psychological Association (OPA) Diversity Committee and sits on the OPA Board since July 2010. In May 2010, Fabiana was honored to receive an Award for Outstanding Service in Public Education from OPA.
